WHAT IS THE STORY OF LONG'S SHADOW HOLSTER?
Long's Shadow Holster Incorporated was founded by Joshua Beaumont in Longmont, Colorado in 2013. Since then, LSHI has grown to hire multiple employees and sell hundreds of holsters each month in 12 countries. LS Holster has always maintained a level of integrity from its humble beginnings and appreciates the incredible support and patronage from customers and industry partners alike.
WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR HOLSTER NAMES?
Each of our signature holster lines are named after one of 52 14,000+foot mountain peak in Colorado. We are proud of our Colorado heritage and hope the names reflect our life style, thirst for exploration, and American tradition.

WHAT'S YOUR BEST HOLSTER FOR INSIDE THE WAISTBAND?
Great Question! We generally recommend the Quandary holster for inside the waistband carry. However, if you wear a full-size gun like a Glock 17 or larger, you may want to consider our Antero for Outside the Waistband, which is convertible to Inside the Waistband by selecting our Antero IWB Conversion available on our Accessories tab in our store.
WHAT'S YOUR BEST HOLSTER FOR OUTSIDE THE WAISTBAND?
The Antero model is our pancake style holster and is still our number one selling rig. It is capable of Outside the Waist, Inside the Waist and MOLLE Web Gear employment. It is ideal for Concealed Carry, Practical Shooting, and even tactical shooters. This holster is great for those who choose to carry in the classic "Strong Side" position. This holster is best for anyone who wishes to have a versatile holster solution for most activities.
WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST FOR MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT?
The Huron (Level 1) and Crestone L2 (Level II) holsters were designed specifically for tactical and professional users. We have sold both models to Patrol, SWAT, Infantry, and SOCOM clients and we continually modify and improve our design based off of real-world input and direction from those who are using our gear now.
I SHOOT USPSA, IPSC, 3GUN, LONG RANGE PRECISION OR OTHER COMPETITIVE SHOOTING SPORT. WHAT OPTIONS DO YOU HAVE?
You’re a competition shooter? So are we. Over a dozen pro's and amateur shooters in 12 countries now use our holsters exclusively. We sell the Huron and Crestone L2 holsters with the Ben Stoeger BOSS Hanger or many other style/types of belt attachment to accommodate your particular needs. These holsters are competition ready and compliant with all sport regulations.
WILL KYDEX® SCRATCH MY FIREARM?
Nearly every holster material from leather to Kydex® available today will all age or scratch your firearm at some point. If you wear your holster and firearm daily, it will happen sooner than later. If you wear your holster only a few times a year, it may take years to see any wear marks. Our best advice for holster wear on your firearm finish is as follows:
- Clean the inside of your holster regularly.
- Use compressed air and or a clean hand towel to remove surface dust and dirt
- Purchase a Silicon Gun Cleaning Cloth at any local gun store or big box retailer
- Once your holster is clean of dust and dirt, wipe a silicon gun cleaning cloth on the inside for a clean draw and to protect your handgun finish.

WHAT WARRANTY DOES LONG’S SHADOW HOLSTER OFFER ON MY GEAR?
Long’s Shadow Holster has your back when it comes to issues with your holster and other Kydex® gear. With a few exceptions listed below we will repair or replace your holster in the case it fails.
LS Holster does not cover the following warranty items:
- Normal Wear and Tear (scratches, gouges, cracks, rusty hardware etc. due to negligence or misuse)
- Lost or stolen items
- Any LS Holster gear which has been malformed due to heat (All LS Holster items are made from Thermoform Plastic. As such, if it has been heated to any temp over 150 and looses its from, we will not cover the loss or replace the defective unit)
WHAT IS OUR CURRENT LEAD TIME?
We typically produce holsters in 3 – 7 weeks. However, with the current political climate coupled with a growing economy, we have experienced unprecedented orders. Because we believe in maintaining our production quality, we have had to extend wait times to approximately 3 – 7 weeks. We understand this is frustrating, but we are confident in our work and in your patience. We have and will, throughout the year, add expedited services to our list of items which can be chosen for guaranteed ship dates. There is a cost associated with the expedited service options.
